Info & Frequently Ask Questions
We are family-oriented and love these bright and cheerful dogs. Boxers are excellent family dogs that do very well with young children. Our puppies are sold with a pre-paid AKC registration. They are mixed with German and American bloodlines. All puppies are docked with dewclaws removed. We love our boxers' floppy ears and do not offer ear cropping.
Have you performed DNA testing on your boxers? The parent boxers have normal alleles and are negative for Degenerative Myelopathy. A copy of the parent's DNA results will be provided with the bill of sale.
What is included in the optional puppy pack? It depends on what is in stock at the pickup - Doggy baggies, puppy pads, puppy shampoo or spray, blanket, chew toys, and/or snacks. Total cost is an additional $50 puppy pack.
What do you feed your puppies? When your puppy is ready to go home they will be 8 weeks and were weaned to puppy kibble mixed with 1/2 cup of warm water. Upon picking up your new puppy, we will give you a small bag of puppy food to take home. Boxers are very lean dogs and tend to fair better with grain-free kibble. However, check with your local veterinarian.
Would getting a boxer be a good idea if I do not have much of a yard? Boxers can be relatively large breeds which is something to consider when considering your indoor space. As for outdoor play, they require daily exercise and enjoy areas like open parks. We often hike with our boxers, and they tolerate relatively easy-moderate paths. Boxers do not do well if kept outside for long periods. Boxers are intolerant to extreme temperatures.
How does payment work? For us to hold a puppy for you, we will require a $300 deposit. This amount will go toward your total amount due. The remaining balance must be paid when you pick up your puppy. Before accepting payment, we want to interview each potential buyer over the phone, FaceTime, or video chat. The payment types accepted are cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, or Zelle (NO PAYPAL, NO CHECKS).
Do you offer to ship your puppies? No, we do not ship our puppies. This breed has a short snout which can make breathing in a small crate dangerous. You must be able to pick up your puppy from my Virginia home.
